Today marks a special day for our studio: our first game Prologue: Go Wayback! is now in Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store!
A huge thank you to our community for helping us test, break, refine, comment, suggest, and sometimes just hang out with us on our Discord during our closed playtests and open beta. We truly couldn’t have gotten here without you.
Early Access Launch Trailer
Why Do We Do Early Access?
Today, Early Access includes massive, well-funded projects. Some players now approach Early Access games as if they’re “early but finished.” Others hold back, waiting for version 1.0. So where do we stand?
We believe in the Early Access model that centers on collaboration, not obligation. We are not using Early Access to fill out content we already know we want. We’re using it to discover what survival feels like in a world that behaves more like the real one. And the best way to refine that is to watch players think, hesitate, and adapt.
We are not launching Early Access to test one mechanic. We’re testing the entire feedback loop: see something → expect something → act → observe. If the outcome makes sense, trust builds. If it doesn’t, immersion breaks.
You’ll help us tune those moments by providing input on what feels real and what doesn’t.
What is coming to Go Wayback! at Early Access launch?
Custom Game Settings
Tweak settings like weather types, time of day, survival modifiers, and other dev options to shape your experience.
New Game Modes
Game Modes are a different way to play. At Early Access launch, you can choose from:
Go Wayback! - get to the Weather Tower in the default survival mode.
Objective: Survive - a hardcore mode where the goal is simple: last as long as you can.
Free Roam - explore the wilderness at your own pace without the stress of survival.
We plan to work with the community to add more Game Modes!
Map Editor
Draw your own rivers and generate unique maps using the in-game map editor, or import a PNG and turn it into a playable map.
Saving
You can now suspend your run and return to it later.

What’s next for Early Access?
We plan for the game to remain in Early Access for about a year. During this time, we aim to add:
More depth to gameplay: climbing, improved cooking and foraging, fuel and electrical power systems, and new tools and clothing items for survival and exploration.
More environmental variety: paths and trails, more cabin variety, improved biomes and enhanced dynamic weather.
More creative tools: new game modes and dev settings, and more ways to create and share your own combination of maps, modes, and settings.
Read more about our plans for Early Access in our latest Dev Blog.
Player feedback will guide us throughout Early Access, and we plan for the ideation of new features and game modes to come from building with the community.
Prologue: Go Wayback! is now available for $19.99 / €19.99 on Steam and Epic Games Store with a 10% launch discount until November 30th.
