Founder Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene is widely regarded as the creator of the battle royale genre, originally developing the mode as a mod for the ARMA series of games before creating the industry-defining hit PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG), which has sold more than 75 million copies on PC and console and topped mobile charts in 150 countries. Since 2018, he has been working on how to apply those same core values of scale and player freedom to new types of gameplays and even larger worlds.
We believe that the longstanding dream of a massive, immersive world where players are free to do whatever they want is closer than ever before.
